About the Work
Pogo carries forward the visual language of the Flowers series, translating an immediate, instinctive sketch into a fully realised gouache painting at 90 × 120 cm. The work preserves the clarity and energy of its initial conception, scaled up with precision while remaining faithful to the spontaneity of the original gesture.
Forms bloom and collide across the surface in a rhythm that feels both spontaneous and assured, as if the painting is unfolding in real time. Colour pulses through the composition—vivid, playful, and unapologetic—while each gesture remains rooted in the original spark that brought it into being.
Part of the Flowers series, Pogo reflects on the act of making itself: how an idea moves, grows, and transforms. It captures that fragile, electric space between impulse and intention, where something fleeting becomes something lasting—without ever settling, always alive with its own momentum.
