About the Work
Moonbathing at the Blue House unfolds as a vivid, dreamlike scene where architecture, landscape, and atmosphere merge into a single, luminous moment. Anchored by the deep blue structure—echoing the iconic home of Frida Kahlo—the painting becomes both a place and a state of mind.
Under a still, watchful moon, the house seems to glow from within. Colour hums across the surface: warm skies dissolve into night, while plants, patterns, and forms gather in quiet rhythm. The scene feels suspended—neither day nor night, neither interior nor exterior—inviting a slower, more contemplative way of looking.
At once intimate and expansive, Moonbathing at the Blue House is less a depiction of a specific place than an atmosphere to inhabit. It captures a sense of stillness and warmth, where memory, travel, and imagination meet, and where the act of looking becomes a kind of quiet escape.
